UNBONDED PC STRAND
1.Product Overview
Unbonded prestressed steel strand is an innovative prestressing solution. It consists of high-strength steel strands wrapped with a special anti-corrosion lubricant
and a continuous high-density polyethylene (HDPE) sheath. This sheath isolates the steel strands from the concrete, creating a free-sliding "unbonded" state, greatly
facilitating complex structures and on-site construction.
2.Product Features
Superior Corrosion Resistance and Durability: The HDPE sheath and anti-corrosion lubricant together form a double protective barrier, effectively resisting erosion
from moisture, chloride ions, and other corrosive media, making it particularly suitable for harsh environments.
Minimally Low Frictional Loss: The steel strands can expand and contract freely within the sheath, resulting in minimal frictional resistance during tensioning. This
leads to high prestress transfer efficiency and significantly lower effective stress loss compared to traditional bonded reinforcement.
Convenient and Highly Efficient Construction: No on-site pre-embedded ducts or subsequent grouting are required. Like ordinary rebar, it can be laid directly
and tensioned after concrete pouring, significantly shortening the construction period and reducing overall costs.
Repeatable tensioning and stress adjustment: Due to its non-bonded nature to concrete, it allows for secondary tensioning or stress adjustment when necessary,
providing flexibility for structural maintenance and reinforcement.
3.Main Application Areas
Building floor slabs and foundation slabs (especially for ultra-long structures)
Large-span frame structures such as parking garages and shopping malls
Slope anchoring and foundation reinforcement projects
Structures with extremely high corrosion resistance requirements, such as nuclear power plants and offshore platforms
Reinforcement and structural repair projects for old bridges
