Five checks before you place an order
A practical due-diligence sequence for EPC buyers, consultants and distributors sourcing prestressing steel from China.
Verify the manufacturer
Confirm the factory exists and produces the product in-house. Ask for the production licence, plant address and a live or recorded factory tour.
Check the test evidence
Request mill test certificates and third-party reports covering tensile strength, elongation and relaxation for the exact diameter and standard you specify.
Match the standard
Make sure the offer references the standard written in your approved specification — ASTM A416, BS 5896, EN 10138 or the project-specific equivalent.
Confirm system compatibility
Strand, anchorage, wedge, duct and jack must be dimensionally compatible. Buying them from one qualified supplier removes that interface risk.
Plan inspection and logistics
Agree the inspection stage, packing method, documentation set, port of loading and delivery window before the purchase order is issued.
