The information we collect

Information you send us. When you send an enquiry through the contact form or the chat assistant, we receive the details you enter: name, email address, company, country, phone number, product or specification, required quantity, destination port, subject and message. On the contact form only the name, email address and message are required. Please do not include sensitive personal information, such as health information or identity document numbers, in an enquiry.

Information recorded when you send an enquiry. We record the time the enquiry was received, the language of the page, the address and title of the page you sent it from, whether our notification email was delivered, and your IP address. We keep the IP address as received, as part of the enquiry record, for as long as that record is kept.

Information used to protect the website. Our server keeps counters that limit how many enquiries one address can send in an hour (currently 20) and how many the whole site accepts in a day (currently 100). Each address's counter is stored under a hash of that address rather than the address itself, and the counters are used only to prevent abuse. The server also keeps a one-way hash of the main fields of each enquiry for about one day, so that an accidental double submission is recognised and saved only once.

Information from measurement tools. If you accept analytics and advertising cookies, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads collect information about your visit, such as the pages you view, your approximate location and your type of device, as described in the cookie notice. Even if you reject them, Google's tags send limited signals about visits to Google without setting cookies (Google Consent Mode).

WhatsApp. If you choose to contact us on WhatsApp, the conversation takes place in WhatsApp and is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy. Our website sends you to one of our team's WhatsApp accounts, in turn.

Why we use your information, and our legal basis

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on the business you asked about. For visitors in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, the legal basis is that the processing is needed to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries.
To keep a record of enquiries, so that we can see what was asked and answered, and to meet our accounting and legal obligations. Legal basis: legitimate interest and legal obligation.
To protect the website from abuse, such as spam or repeated submissions. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

We do not use enquiry details to send newsletters or marketing emails, and we do not sell personal information.

Who receives your information

We share information only with the providers we need to run the website and to answer you:

Website hosting: our server is located in Singapore. The hosting provider is [[HOSTING PROVIDER NAME: owner to confirm. The server address appears to belong to Alibaba Cloud.]].
Email: enquiries are delivered to our sales mailbox through [[EMAIL PROVIDER: not known yet. The owner needs to name the service that sends the enquiry notifications.]].
Google: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads. Their cookies are set only if you accept them, but Google also receives limited cookieless signals when you reject them (see the cookie notice). Google processes this information under its own privacy policy and may process it in the United States and other countries.

WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn: only when you choose to use their links. These services have their own privacy policies.

Staff who answer enquiries can see the details of your enquiry. We may disclose information where the law requires it.

International transfers

Our business is based in China. Enquiries sent through this website are stored on our server in Singapore. How long we keep information

Enquiry records, including the copies in our email, are kept until they are deleted. You can ask us to delete yours at any time, as described under "Your rights".

send your information to another organisation in a portable form, where the law gives you that right.

If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
