Programme alignment
A high-rise floor cycle depends on strand arriving when the slab is ready to stress. Delivery windows matter as much as price.
High-rise twin tower project in Hanoi. PC strand supplied for post-tensioned slab and beam systems.
Global Overseas supplied PC strand for the Twin Tower project at The Manor Hanoi in Vietnam. The project uses post-tensioned slab and beam systems, which is the highest-volume application for prestressing strand in high-rise construction because it reduces slab thickness and allows longer spans than conventionally reinforced concrete.
For a high-rise, the strand supply has to match a demanding construction programme: the diameter and coil weight must suit the site handling equipment, the delivery schedule has to align with the floor cycle, and the test documentation has to be available for the structural records of each pour.
A high-rise floor cycle depends on strand arriving when the slab is ready to stress. Delivery windows matter as much as price.
Post-tensioned slabs and beams use strand in short, repeated tendons, so consistent coil quality and cutting tolerance matter.
Coil weight must suit the site crane and the stressing equipment available on the floor.
Structural records require test documentation that can be filed against each floor and pour.
